QUESTIONS FOR OUR SENIOR TEACHER KATEŘINA HRUŠKOVÁ
Kateřina Hrušková has been teaching for EDUA for about five years, though she’s been in the English teaching business for about two decades. She works as a Senior Teacher, a teacher in the post-secondary programme and individual courses for Jipka, and a teacher of in-company courses for Caledonian School/JCL. We asked her a few questions to get to know her a little better.
If you could live in any other time period in history, which one would you choose?
I’d still choose this time period, as I got to experience the Velvet Revolution.
What’s the best place you’ve ever travelled to?
I’m a retired backpacker who used to travel a lot. I’ll never forget walking down Colca Canyon in Peru or coming face-to-face with a reef shark (a tiny one) when scuba diving in Australia, but camping and exploring our country with my family makes me just as happy now. Our last destination was Podyjí, and it’s absolutely stunning.
Where do you like to order your lunch?
Any bistro that serves spring rolls.
Which Czech band would you recommend to your colleagues?
Psí vojáci. But we’re listening to Kapitán Demo in the car these days because our kids absolutely love him.
Do you have a guilty pleasure?
My morning coffee.
